No, don't worry Lhizz, according to Yarn Harlot we've actually gotten a late start! I checked her site before the opening ceremony, and she said she was starting at the start of the opening ceremony, which was 2pm on the 10th her time, so everyone should start at 2pm on the 10th! That would have given us an 18-hour head start! But I think it makes more sense to all start at the same time, at the start of the opening ceremony. So don't rip!!!
ooops, too late! Never mind, I'd only done a little bit anyway and it's all good practice ;) I think I need more sleep - I just reread Harlot's post and realised that she said that we could cast on either at the start of the ceremony or when the flame was lit! Ah well, back to the needles :)
The flame was awesome - the best bit as far as I was concerned (I had tears in my eyes!) It's a long time since I've watched an opening ceremony (I think Calgary might have been the last one, eep!), but are they always so silly? The cow-printed dancers had me in stitches, as did the Ferrari doing burnouts. And what was with all the 70s/80s party hits? Weird, man!

GO!
Yes, I am thinking the same thing.
And I still have that hat to finish!
Wasn't the ski jumper incredible!!
whoops, I had a false start - seems we're not supposed to be casting on until the flame is lit, d'oh!
